This blog originated as a way for me to share my Disney vacation planning process. And I got WAAAAAAY of track. How I got that off track I have no clue but here we are. In the span of time since I started this blog I have been to Walt Disney World TWICE. And shared none of that. Which is INSANE. That’s why I started this! To share Disney!! So that’s what we’re doing now.

I have a trip coming up actually. It’s a short trip for my birthday. I booked it immediately after my last trip in December (more on that coming up). I learned that Goofy and I share a birthday and took that as a sign that I needed to go to Disney at the end of May. So I booked it. Originally I booked myself at Port Orleans-Riverside in a Royal Guest Room but after some initial park planning I changed my resort to Pop Century (also wanted to stay in a resort I haven’t stayed at before). Pop Century is a resort on the Skyliner route, huge reason I booked here since I will be spending most of my time at Hollywood Studios. I’ve walked through Pop Century when I stayed at Art of Animation (absolutely in my top 3 resorts and I’ll go over that later).

Let’s get into my planning process

I am flying in on a Friday. My flight arrives at 9:30am and I am hoping and praying that I can be at Pop Century by 11am so I can check in and drop my stuff off before my adventure for the day. I am planning a 4 parks 1 day adventure. I’ll even hit you with my hour by hour breakdown (because I’m crazy).

Arrival/check-in at Pop Century: 11-11:30am

Bus to Animal Kingdom, security and scanning into the park: 11:45-12:30

Snack and Photopass in front of the Tree of Life: 12:45

Dinosaur: 12:45-1:45

Bus to Hollywood Studios: 1:55-2:30

Security and scanning into the park: 2:45-3:15

Snack and Photopass in front of the Tower of Terror: 3:30-3:45

Rockin’ Roller Coaster: 3:50-5:10

Skyliner to Epcot: 5:30-5:50

Security and scanning into the park: 6-6:15

Snack and Photopass in front of Spaceship Earth: 6:35-6:50

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind: 7:10-8:30

Monorail to Magic Kingdom: 8:45-9:10

Scanning into park (Monrail drops off beyond security so I’ll be already secured): 9:15-9:20

Snack and Pirates of the Caribbean: 9:40-10 (I am anticipating Happily Ever After crowds making it hard to navigate to Adventureland)

Photopass in front of Cinderella Castle: 10:30

Bus to Pop Century: 10:45

Now this is a generous timeline given that I am planning on using Lightning Lanes on this day so I can accomplish this challenge. I wanted to give myself a solid buffer of time so I’m not stressed in frickin Disney World.

And that’s just day one.
